Getting Started with Operent

1. Sign up

Go to ops.operent.co/signup and enter your business name, email, and a password. No credit card is needed — your 14-day free trial starts immediately.

Within 30 seconds your workspace is created and you'll receive a welcome email with your dashboard link.

2. Complete the setup wizard

When you first log in you'll be taken to the Setup Wizard — a 5-step guide that takes about 10 minutes:

Branding
Upload your logo and choose a primary brand colour. This appears on your storefront, documents, and customer emails.

Storefront template
Pick from Classic (clean & professional), Bold (dark & premium), or Playful (warm & inviting). You can change this later.

OVI phone number
Optionally enter a Twilio number for OVI — your AI phone receptionist. You can skip this and add it later in Settings.

First catalog item
Add the first item or service you want customers to see. You can bulk-import more later.

Preview your storefront
See exactly what your public storefront looks like before any customer does.
Tip: You can skip any step and return to it later via Settings → Storefront or Settings → Branding.

3. Build your catalog

Go to Inventory (or Catalog / Services depending on your industry) to add everything you offer.

You can:

  • Add items manually (name, description, price, photos)
  • Import from a CSV spreadsheet — use Import → Upload CSV and Operent maps the columns automatically
  • Set availability rules so items can't be double-booked

4. Create your first booking

Go to Reservations and click + New Booking. Fill in the customer details, select items from your catalog, and choose a date.

From the booking you can:

  • Generate and send a quote (or let AI draft it)
  • Send a contract for e-signature
  • Send an invoice with a Stripe payment link
Note: The AI quote generator creates a fully priced quote from a plain-text job description. Click Generate Quote with AI on any booking.

5. Go live

Once your branding is set, catalog is built, and you've previewed the storefront, go to Settings → Storefront and click Submit for Review.

Operent reviews storefronts within 24 hours. Once approved, your public storefront is live at yourbusiness.operent.co.

6. Invite your team

Go to Settings → Team to add staff members. Each person gets their own login. Roles available: Admin, Manager, Staff.
